Zion Methodist Church, Crab Lane, Higher Blackley, Manchester M9 8NB.
To find us, turn off Victoria Avenue (A6104) onto Longhurst Road, then immediately left onto Crab Lane. After some narrow twists & turns, you should spot us on the right, opposite the junction to Poolton Road.
Zion is a small chapel built in the 1860s. We have had building problems in the past - in 1815, even before a church was built, the congregation were known as the 'plungers' after the floorboards collapsed in the local cottage they used for meetings!
More recently, the collapse of the ceiling led to a major refurbishment. As a result, our building is more flexible and we're able to accommodate a wide range of worship, youth, and other projects.
Church Family
We are a small, caring and friendly congregation. Our desire is to look outwards and see what God wants.
Resources
Worship resources include Hymns & Psalms, Songs of Fellowship Combined (1,2 and 3), plus an overhead projector.
Note: The Circuit projector/PowerPoint is available by arrangement.
The bible we normally use is the New International Version.
